Baby Jane Miami

Last week we got the chance to check out Baby Jane’s new “Unplugged Lunch” concept. It invites it’s guest to check their phones at the door and receive a “bucket o’ fun.” Not only does this make for an interesting lunch but the food is amazing as well. Oh, and you get a complementary craft beer with the purchase of any entree. Baby Jane Miami, you’re winning me over.

Unplugged Lunch occurs every Friday during the hours of 12-3pm

Baby Jane’s Unplugged Lunch Review

The Breakdown:

Baby Jane Miami
The concept is simple, trade in your phone for a bucket o’fun, which includes stuff adult coloring books, bubbles, and play-doh. My sister (PersianKittyKat) and I were able to try some items off the menu and Baby Jane Miami does NOT disappoint.

The Food:

The hardest thing for a blogger to do is give up their phone and that’s exactly what we did. But thanks to the people at WorldRedEye, we were able to have our pictures taken and not worry about getting the “right angle”

We got the caesar salad to start. It was pretty standard, nothing out of this world but still tasty and refreshing.
Next, I got the Rockefeller Oysters OMG! this was it for me. I am absolutely, 100%, in love with these oysters. We had a relationship and it was magical. I’m sad I wasn’t able to get a picture of it but you’re just going to have to trust me.

We shared a couple of the small plates such as the Bone Marrow & Vaca Frita, and the Steak Tartare. Both were really good but the Bone Marrow fell short on bone marrow and vaca frita. I found the Steak Tartare to be a little on the bland side, my sister on the other hand loved it. Try it and you be the judge.
Now, the following dish we BOTH loved, Duck & Foie Gras Croquettes they were absolutely delicious and I highly recommend getting this plate.

We also order the Local Fish which was Grouper that day and it was perfectly cooked and juicy. hmmmm so good!

We couldn’t end lunch without having some dessert. We shared the Pignic Cookie and the Pegasus Pie
and at this point, we HAD to get our phones back because the addiction is real and withdrawal was setting in. I wasn’t a fan of the cookie, I found it to be a little on the salty side. The Pie though was beyond words. Don’t let this little pie fool you, it packs a flavorful punch. It reminds me of a toaster strudel but 100x better! yummmmmmm

The Cocktails:Baby Jane Miami

I’m over here getting involved with all this food talk that I’ve forgotten to mention the yummy cocktails.
Hands down my favorite cocktail on the menu is the Jane & Juice, Gin + St. Germain and I’m one happy girl.

Final Thoughts

For being only a few months old, I think they are doing a good job of making common things different. Especially in an area that caters to business professionals, it good to see a marketing team that is thinking outside of the box.
If you work in the Brickell area and want to have a different experience for lunch, then check out Baby Jane Miami “unplugged” lunch.
